Prof. Dr. Hartmut Aden has been a Professor at the HWR Berlin since 2009, and a Professor of Public Law, European Law, Political and Administrative Science since 2016. He was Vice Director of FÖPS from 2016 to 2020, before becoming Vice President for Research at HWR in 2020. He teaches and conducts research on law, public administration, and comparative policy research.
His main research interests are accountability, human rights, data protection, police, assembly, and environmental law. His research projects are mainly concerned with the interfaces between law, politics and administration, also from a European and international perspective.
